New in Ride: trails and meetups
Find the horse trails riders near you actually ride
See where other riders have taken their horses near you, with what they say about trailer parking. Then record your own ride with GPS, phone locked and miles from signal.
Find trails
See where riders actually ride.
The Trails tab maps public trail rides from other riders near you, with each trail's start point and distance. Find one close to the barn, or one worth the haul.
Ride Pro opens any trail, with what riders say about difficulty, trailer parking and whether horses are allowed, and lets you search any area.
Own the trail
Map it first. Your name goes on it.
Ride a trail and it goes on the Trails map under your name, for other riders to find. Riders who save it and ride it after you join its leaderboard. Get there first and you're at the top.
Only public rides go on the map. Private rides and Hide map keep a route to yourself.
Record every ride
No signal. Phone locked. Still recording.
Tap Start Trail Ride, put your phone in your pocket and ride. Ride records your route with GPS miles from cell service, then shows it on a map with time, distance and pace. Add up to 3 photos, and it syncs when you're back in range.
Ride together
Find a group ride near you.
Public meetups show on the Trails map with the meet point, time and who's going. Join in one tap, then plan trailers, parking and pace in the group chat. Joining is always free.
Ride Pro riders host meetups, public or invite-only.
Follow your barn
Your friends' rides, in one feed.
Follow riders you know and see their trail rides, routes and photos on Home. Give kudos, leave a comment, and get a notification when someone does the same for you. Your profile is public or private, your choice.
Save and follow trails
Ride the trail you saved.
Save a trail you want to ride and follow its line on your live map while you record. Saved trails work offline. Every trail keeps a leaderboard: who rode it first, the most miles, the fastest.
Saving, following and leaderboards are Ride Pro.
Share every ride
Your ride, on your photo.
Pick a photo from the ride and Ride lays the route, distance, time and pace over it, sized for your story. Or send a link friends can open. Every card credits the rider and the horse.

Every horse gets a profile with farrier, vaccine and supplement reminders, goals and shows on a calendar. Arena riders can run saved routines as timed sessions.

Questions riders ask
Does Ride work without cell service?
Yes. Ride records your trail ride with GPS when you have no signal, and the ride syncs when you're back in range. With Ride Pro, saved trails work offline too. Finding trails and meetups needs a connection, as do your first sign-in and edits to your horses, goals or profile.
Does Ride record with my phone locked?
Yes. Tap Start Trail Ride, lock your phone, put it in your pocket and ride. GPS keeps recording in the background until you stop the ride.
How do I find horse trails near me?
Open the Trails tab. It maps public trail rides from other riders near you, with each trail's start point and distance. With Ride Pro you can open any trail to see its leaderboard and what riders say about difficulty, trailer parking and whether horses are allowed, and search any area.
How do trail-ride meetups work?
A Ride Pro rider hosts a meetup with a date, time and meet point. Any rider can find public meetups on the Trails map and join free in one tap, and everyone going shares a group chat. Invite-only meetups don't show on the map: the host invites riders in the app or shares a link.
Can I save trails and share rides?
Yes. Share any ride as a link, or as an image with the route over your photo. With Ride Pro you can save a trail, rename it, and follow its line on your live map while you record.
What's free and what's Ride Pro?
Free: recording and logging rides, even with no signal, your full ride history, stats, the feed, following riders, 1 horse, 1 saved routine, 3 months of charts, the Trails map near you, and joining meetups. Ride Pro, an optional subscription, adds opening trails and searching any area, saving and following trails, trail leaderboards, hosting meetups, unlimited horses and routines, and charts over 1 year and all time. Nothing you've already logged or added is ever locked.
Does Ride share my location or where I keep my horse?
No. Ride doesn't share your live location. The start and end of every route are trimmed before anyone else sees it, very short routes aren't shown at all, and Hide map keeps a route on your phone only. Your profile can be public or private.
Can I log a ride I forgot to record?
Yes. Log it by hand with the date, horse, discipline and minutes, and edit any ride later. A ride logged by hand has no GPS map.
